5Sever looked good except for failing drive I can't seem to get replaced. (Drive was replaced. Edited 10/11/17)

Server was better than expected... warranty replacement, maybe not so much.

The server was received quickly and boxed up extremely well (high praise to their shipping department). The DL380 was in pretty good shape with no more scratches than would be expected from a server of this age that has been put in and taken out of a rack a few times. No gouges, dents or broken pieces. It was also very clean inside and out.

Now the not so great. Of the 8 10k SAS drives 7 look perfectly fine. The 8th one has a flashing amber light, which is an indication of possible failure at some point so I have had to leave it out of my installation setup.

I'm trying to get a replacement but the drive was sent to a different state and I can't get an answer from the seller about it. Amazon won't let me give the full explanation as they don't like customers giving true negative comments.

I was wanting to buy another server like this one, but I'm not if I can't get the warranty replacement taken care of. It's too bad too as other wise this would have been 5 stars and a new order.

Edited 10/11/17 - The seller contacted me and was very apologetic for the mix up. They admitted and owned up to the fact that they dropped the ball on the replacement and got one out over night to me. They also included a 2nd drive for a spare to boot. The replacement works normally and I have all 8 with a spare humming away. I feel they were sincere in their apology to me and have adjusted the stars to 5.

I have set this server up to be a Linux thin/fat client server for our training department utilizing a number of older computers we have so that were just sitting in a closet gathering dusty and taking up room. While this server could be used for a number of things, with the 16 gigs of ram, 8 146g drives and dual CPU's, it's well suited for this task without putting a lot of money into it. If this project works out, I'll be buying another one for the next project I have in mind.
